Join us for Cowboy True this Friday Night and Saturday!

Experience all things cowboy, as we welcome artists and craftsmen from across the country! This two-day exhibit and event features juried artists whose work represents and elevates the cowboy way of life. See the tradition of our cowboy skills, including woodworking, jewelry, drawing, spurs, saddles, trappings, buckles, sculpture, bits, photography and painting.

Join us in celebrating 11 years of Cowboy Art & Culture!

The Arts Council WF is pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Cowboy True Art Exhibit & Auction will be held on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2, 2022. The artist exhibits and entertainment will be returning to the JS Bridwell Ag Center. This event is a mission-based program of the Arts Council WF, with a fundraising finale dinner that supports the Arts Council WF and Whispers of Hope Horse Farm.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

Friday, April 1st 5:30-8:30pm

• FREE & open to the public

• Meet and view the artwork by 40+ national artists

• Cowboy Poetry Gathering with participating poets reading their work

• World-Class Strolling Fiddlers playing

• Artist awards will be presented

• Complimentary beans and cornbread to all guests, provided by the HX Chuck Wagon

• True Grit Gallery Silent Auction opens

• Youth art and poetry contest entries on display

• Official State of Texas Longhorn Herd will be on-site provided by Fort Griffin

 

Saturday, April 2nd 10:00am-5:00pm

• FREE & open to the public

• Meet and view the artwork by 40+ national artists

• Live music and poetry readings throughout the day

• Whispers of Hope Horse Farm providing horse rides between 11:00am-2:00pm

• How Great Thou Art Chalk Pastel Class “Colorful Shaggy Cow” from 1:00-3:00pm (registration online at howgreatthouartstudiowf.com)

• Official State of Texas Longhorn Herd will be on-site provided by Fort Griffin

• Watch a real working chuck wagon in action

• Youth art and poetry contest entries on display

 

Saturday, April 2nd 5:30pm

• Tickets on sale for finale dinner at artscouncilwf.org

• $75 per person (includes dinner and prize drawings)

• Each ticket included in 8 door prize drawings – final drawing prize is a John Deer Zero-Turn lawnmower + $1,000 cash! (Need not be present to win.)

• Cowboy Chicken Fried Steak Dinner with all the fixin’s provided by HX Chuck Wagon

• Miss Devon & The Outlaw on stage with special guest, Teresa Burleson, Cowboy Poet

• True Grit Gallery Silent Auction
